Unmanaged Ethernet Switches
Our unmanaged switches enable connected devices to communicate seamlessly in their most basic form, using auto-negotiated ports to handle parameters like data rates automatically. The SALZ Automation unmanaged Ethernet switches are easy to deploy, cost-effective, and more economical than our lite managed or fully managed options—perfect for reliable networking without complexity.
Choose from our two series tailored to different needs:
-
Series 1000: Compact, unmanaged Fast Ethernet switches for cost-efficient networking at the machine and control level. Ideal for standard automation tasks, building automation, small installations, and harsh environments with their metal housing.
-
Series 2000: High-performance unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches (Fast Ethernet and Gigabit) with advanced features like VLAN and QoS. Built for demanding machine and plant automation, featuring rugged housings, extended temperature tolerance, and options like redundant power and alarm contacts.

Series 1000
The Series 1000 switches are compact, unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches for cost‑efficient networking at machine and control level. They offer reliable Fast Ethernet connectivity for standard automation tasks, building automation and small installations. The robust metal housing and wide input voltage range makes them suitable for harsh industrial environments and compact control cabinets. With true plug‑and‑play operation and no configuration required, the 1000 Series is ideal wherever simple, stable network connections are sufficient.
Series 2000
The SALZ Automation 2000 Series switches are robust industrial Ethernet switches designed for higher‑performance networking in machine and plant automation. They are available in Fast Ethernet and Gigabit variants and support extended functions such as VLAN and QoS for more demanding applications. Their rugged metal housings and extended temperature range make them suitable for harsh environments. In combination with optional features like redundant power supply and alarm contacts, the 2000 Series is ideal for larger or more performance‑critical networks.
